Mike Lipski is the vice president of Strategy for Ingalls Shipbuilding. Mike is responsible for the development and execution of Ingalls’ strategic plan, supporting Washington operations’ strategy and alignment as well as market and policy analysis, and business capture team support.
Mike has held positions of increasing responsibility since joining the company in 2007. He began his career with Ingalls as the director, Sector Administration. He was later assigned as director, Large Deck Amphibious (LDA) programs, director of Business Development and Strategic Planning and most recently, vice president of Business Development for Ingalls Shipbuilding.
Mike served 20 years as a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, as a surface warfare officer and with the Navy Civil Engineer Corps. His Navy assignments included duty on USS Oliver Hazard Perry (FFG-7), as a Facilities and Engineering Division branch head for the Chief of Naval Operations, as Executive Officer of Engineering Field Activity Southeast and as a legislative fellow for Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi. Prior to joining Ingalls Shipbuilding, Mike was the Legislative Director for Congressman Chip Pickering (MS-3).
Mike has a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Science degree in financial management from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Mississippi.
