Ingalls has implemented enhanced cleaning and sanitizing processes. Teams of Ingalls employees and one of Ingalls’ environmental cleaning contractors, continue to clean facilities and equipment throughout the shipyard. This precautionary cleaning is occurring every night and on weekends and is being done throughout the shipyard.
Crews are also disinfecting other high-volume, high-traffic areas. Last night, crews fogged and manually cleaned the following areas:
- Gates 1, 2 & 4, including turnstiles, vending machines, drinking fountains
- All 4 employee buses
- Medical screening trailers
- Ship accesses, gangways, boxes
- Training Center- outdoor welding booths, accesses, doors, handrails, bathrooms
- Fab Shop, Bays 3 and 5
- All handrails and doors for Admin 1,2,3,4, MTA, VVC, security
- Track 6, Track 3, Berth 1, Outfitting Hall IRT Trailer
- Covey room and EHS hallways
- Track 6 cool down station, vending, ice machine, Fastenal PPE station, time clock conex, picnic tables, employee lockers
- Hospital lobby, offices
- LBTF building access, lobby, handrails, doors golf carts / mules in the area
- Transportation office
- Safety office
- Gate 2 gold carts, mules
