Lori A. Harper is Vice President, Supply Chain Management, at Ingalls Shipbuilding. In this role she provides leadership to all Gulf Coast supply chain management functions, including sourcing, procurement, inventory control and material warehousing. Ms. Harper and her team play a critical role in meeting company commitments to provide quality materials and services on-time and within cost targets.
Ms. Harper joined Ingalls in 2002 and has held leadership positions in multiple areas. Her previous roles have included Director, Production Control; Material Director for both the LHD 8 and LPD 17 programs; Supply Chain Compliance Manager; and Gulfport Operations Material Site Manager. Prior to joining Ingalls, Ms. Harper held leadership positions with several Fortune 500 companies in the aerospace and defense, petrochemical, and services industries.
Ms. Harper received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and an MBA from William Carey College. She has completed leadership training at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt.
Ms. Harper serves on the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA) Supplier Management Executive Committee; the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Gulf Coast Corporate Board of Directors; the University of South Alabama Mitchell School of Business Advisory Board; and is executive sponsor of the company’s Women in Shipbuilding Enterprise (WISE) employee resource group. Ms. Harper is a 2008 graduate of the Mississippi Economic Council’s Leadership Mississippi program and in 2015 was named one of Mississippi’s Top 10 Business Women by Mississippi Business Journal.
